After our hike in Minnewaska State Park and strolling through the Antiques Barn, my wife and I spent our 2nd Wedding Anniversary dinner here at The Parish. At first, we thought it was just a tavern, but surprisingly as soon as the doors were open, we are amazed by the immediate greeting and the delicious smell. Paulina was very nice, attentive, and simply awesome in serving us and explaining the specials of that evening. We enjoyed both our Chicken and Steak Specials along with our drinks and dessert! We highly recommend this gem!

The choices are unique compared to other restaurants. The food was very tasty. I had the black bean burger which was excellent. It had a little too much sauce but the sauce was so good. My wife had the jambalaya which was tasty but the chicken was a little tough. Overall we had a great experience and this was our second time here. The service was very friendly. They lowered the air conditioning when we requested and were very polite and helpful.

What a lovely place. Excellent drinks as you’d expect from a Nola inspired place. Gater tots were super crunchy and flavorful but definitely over salted. I absolutely loved the blackened catfish but the jambalaya was just ok. Fast attentive service, cute vibe and good prices.

The dining experience at The Parish in New Paltz was nothing short of a culinary delight. The journey began with a trio of appetizers that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The Chicken Wings were bursting with flavor, the Gator Bites were superbly executed, and the Fried Okra was a delightful crispy treat. Moving on to the mains, both the Gumbo and Jambalaya struck the perfect balance of spice, delivering an authentic taste of the South. The well-crafted dishes showcased a mastery of flavors that left our taste buds thoroughly satisfied. Our server, Paulina, played a crucial role in enhancing our overall experience. Her attentiveness and courteous service added a personal touch to the evening, making us feel well taken care of throughout our meal. The Parish's commitment to quality ingredients and skilled preparation was evident in every dish, creating a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, a mix of southern charm and welcoming warmth, provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. In conclusion, The Parish at New Paltz is a culinary gem that deserves high praise. Demure. My gf and I enjoyed our time at this place. The food we ordered was ok though (burger and chicken sandwich).

We stopped in The Parish for lunch. My husband had the jambalaya with shrimp, I had the Mac and cheese with crawfish. I liked his better. The shrimp had a smokey taste. Mine was just okay. The service was very good and the atmosphere was very homey. I would go back again.

Came here for a late night meal and left wishing I came hungrier. We had gumbo and the blackened green beans. They were both the most delicious food we had all weekend. Expertly crafted and really delicious. The inside is very small, maybe seating 20 total. The outside deck in warmer weather I’m sure is a great place to eat and hang out. Service was friendly and efficient. The vibe inside is casual and cool.
